John has been studying the art of photography since his childhood; traveling all over the state of California and parts of the U.S.A. learning as much as he can about this wonderful art.
It began in 1995, when he was introduced to photography in the 4-H Youth Development Program. He learned all the basic steps with 35 mm film, and when he mastered the basics, he moved on to the advanced techniques. He learned much of the stuff he knows today from his father, who taught him photography while in 4-H. By the mid 2000's, John has realized he loved nature photography the best, along with Back and White, and with the switch to digital, he was able to continue his studying and work until he graduated from the 4-H Program.
Today, John is considered an amateur photographer, and he has become an adult 4-H volunteer to teach what he knows about photography to fellow leaders and 4-H members throughout California. In his personal life, he continue to learn new techniques/concepts with photography, at times pushing his comfort zone
